REALLY odd pepper changes!

Purple Beauty Pepper - is exactly what I grew, last year and this year (same seed packet). Peppers were always purple from start to finish. Recently some started being red (start to finish) some red then purple. Some green, then stay green or turn purple. A few plants produced purple peppers always (note ones changing were alwaysin containers - but not all in containers changed -all in ground stayed purple always) - all tasted so so at best.

I never liked the purple peppers. One plant wilted pretty bad and did not recover, most peppers were red (or all). Peppers were wilted - the actual pepper. About 1-1/2 - 2 weeks ago I pulled the plant and laid it in my garden. Today I saw wilted plant, peppers were all bright red and wilted - some not really badly wilted, all bright red, looked tasty. Out of curiosity I picked one.

By far best (sweetest) pepper I have every grown! Sweet as heck. I found a live healthy plant from SAME seed packed - and picked a fresh ripe, healthy purple pepper. Everyone agrees old red one is 10x better.

What the heck????

Again 100% for sure same plant (purple beauty) pepper STARTED like they should - website even says purple start to finish) ohioheirloomseeds.com

How in the world are wilted peppers from a plant pulled 2 weeks ago - a plant that was stressed and so bad I pulled it, blow away every other healthy pepper AND every other kind I have grown (at least 6 kinds)?????

This is the sweetest pepper I have ever tasted. Fantastic.

Again purple beauty plant (for SURE - started out as it should- peppers purple start to finish) plant basically dead (not recovering with water, cool weather, hot weather, sun etc) 2 weeks after pulling peppers are best ever. And wrong color.

Above tasted great below bitter, same seed, same kind of pepper 100% for sure.
