Ours is a 50s tract home, and we wanted to update the small kitchen without it looking out of synch with the rest of the house, what we like to call "mid century modest," AND we wanted to incorporate our vintage white Wedgewood range. We're a bit eclectic in our taste...kind of MCM without the kitsch or the ultra moderne style with maybe a little Craftsman thrown in for good measure.

Now the kitchen is done and we're just waiting for the finishing touches (the blinds and counter stools). I especially love: (1) the newly designed pass-thru; (2) the counter that doubles as coffee bar and prep area with badly needed storage underneath for water, soda, pet food, etc.; (3) the deep pantry that now has (thank goodness!) roll-out drawers; (4) the hidden roll-out garbage bins; (5) and the retractable MWC faucet. We had chosen a faucet with a high arc spout but it just looked out of place so we exchanged it for this one and couldn't be any more pleased.

Caution re the Caesarstone countertop in "Concrete" -- it shows every handprint and drip so probably not best for a family with kids.
