Oh I'm so sorry this is happening. I can't believe that it wasn't designed with windows symmetrically placed within the arch of the porch. Surely at this point they can be shifted over??? I would not touch the support posts because of what you have stated. They are not the problem; the windows are.

Looks like you need to move the right post and adjust the roof over the two post to accommodate it...cover the front door if necessary

Am I missing something, because I see the two smaller windows on the porch are centered between the 2 posts and look ok to me.

ok - i think i got it. It seems such a small difference between each post, would it really be that noticeable.

Since you don't mention any floorplan hinderances to moving the windows, I have to assume your builder doesn't want to do it because at the drywall stage this is an expensive fix. Shame it wasn't drafted better or caught sooner. I think your only options are to live with it or have that window moved, but understand that you may have to pay for the cost of the change since it is a change on work that was already signed off on that is well past the point in the timeline it should have been done.

Realize that the elevation drawing of the house is an abnormal view of the house. There is no practical way someone will see the house as the drawing shows. If the house is built as the drawings show, chances are nobody will notice the positioning of the windows in relation to the columns.

I would be more concerned about the funny little windows on the second floor.
