My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

How to get a very shiny lacquered look on the front door?

The painter just finished painting my front door after 3 days of stripping & sanding...but, it's not shiny enough...

    Use oil base, high gloss. Ben Moore makes an excellent (or did, last time I painted trim) oil-based paint. We've used it both for interior and exterior trim on brick and wood. Still looks great after 6 years.

    sorry, nix the brick-- I should have said mahogany and pine - door and windows, respectively.
