I'm with you on soaking up that view. Whether you wake up to that view or soak in a tub looking at it is up to you and how you use the space. No matter what, I would open up that wall with the view - the small door and window aren't cutting it. How big is that deck off of your bedroom? What is the ceiling height in your bedroom? I wonder if you would want to just do a loft with the attic space instead of an enclosed area giving yourself tall ceilings in the bedroom. If you're able to share the layout of the room with dimensions that would be helpful.
