Something is chomping on it! Check daily, including on the undersides of the leaves.

ilias... how much longer do you expect it to grow this season... wherever you may be???

and.... are they the bottom most.. oldest leaves ... things get tired in fall ... not that that is causing the damage ... more alone the lines.. of.. its not really time to be getting too aggressive with remedies.. nor worry .. though stressed plants do see to attract more problems ...

Those spots are not water-soaked. They are a combo of a missing top layer of cells plus some holes.
