The drive home took me about 6 hours... I too LOVED the newer route from camp to the interstate! If it weren't for the extra police presence on the highway, things would have been terrific!

Was running early enough to stop at our favorite orchard in Charlottesville and picked up apple cider donuts for breakfast.

Had a terrific time! Slept little; sewed a lot; got a lot accomplished. Can't wait for next year!

So glad the 19E route was a better drive for you guys. I did stop in Knoxville at whole foods and spent too much money... haha and still had to go to the grocery store after getting home.

I arrived home about 3:00 this afternoon after stopping for apples, to eat my sandwich and hitting Whole Foods in Greensboro. The drive home seemed a lot shorter than the drive up! Gas at Hess's in Greensboro was only $2.08 a gallon - time for another road trip! Loved our retreat this year! Loved the Guenther Lodge - great for sleeping! So much fun sewing with friends!

We are home, too. Stopped by DD's to pick up the fur baby and visit a bit. Jackie, I think you passed us on the way home. Either that or someone has a car just like yours. We paid $1.99 on the way home but it is $1.95 here. Lowest it has been in a long time.

Jackie, we can chrome cast from our new toy. Tim is a happy camper now.

I paid $2.25 for gas at that Exxon by camp because I needed gas and didn't know what options I would have down the road. But a town or two over, gas was as low as $1.86. Near home I filled up, and with loyalty points, paid $1.83!!
