Stuck in search mode AGAIN

Have recently removed and reinstalled app. Can't get to latest stories because it's stuck in search mode again.

Having still the same problem here with stuck on search topic. Had same problems for the last several months. updated app to the latest level on Sept 24 and still not resolved. Tried:
logged off, logged on, dropped the internet connection, back on again, went into iPad settings for the app and clicked off the back ground update, clicked it back on again, pulled down the storied to refresh, pulled down the list of topics to refresh...once twice, three times, ....still stuck. The app is unfortunately still not fixed. running ios 9 on an ipad air 2 if that makes a difference
still My favorite app by the way.

Every time I search it gets stuck and you can't clear it to get to the latest stories. At some random point it clears itself but it can take two days. VERY ANNOYING

If you have an iPhone try clicking the home button twice and it should show all your running apps. Then just swipe those pages up to close them out so that you can access Houzz again without if referencing you old session. I haven't run into your situation on the Houzz app but that approach has helped me in other apps that get "stuck" from time to time.

I'm using an iPad mini. Every time I search it gets stuck. I try doing a new search and then clearing it and it goes right back to the last, stuck search. I can't use search in this app and that sucks. The programmer needs to fix this problem.

This should be fixed in the latest update. Have you updated again?

Glad to know I'm not the only one stuck in search! It only happens only iPod, but since that is what I browse on the most it is small comfort. Closing and reopening the app doesn't help at all. When it had happened in the past (this is a recurring problem for me, too) the only thing that helped was removing and reinstalling the app. I'm on satellite now with tight limits, so that isn't a useful option either.

Houzz is my favorite site, so I won't be going anywhere, but I would really love it if the app-guys could fix this glitch!
