I have limelight hydrangeas and vanilla strawberry hydrangeas which I looove! They go from white to pink to a beautiful rust color in fall. All my chickens I selected because of their egg color! I get dark brown ( almost black) , blue, khaki green and light brown eggs! It makes a very pretty basket!

where I live we got soooo much rain! Lush grass?... Yes! that needed to be cut every few days! Hubble not so happy;) and lots and lots of weeds!!

I planted Vanilla Strawberry last fall. The blossoms are still pure white. Hoping they will add the pink later but know that may not happen this year. Also have Limelight, Bobo, and Tardiva.

A basket full of colored eggs is such fun. Choosing hens for egg color is the same thing I would have done though I decided not to pursue adding chickens as we have been traveling more.

I didn't know that about chickens, that different kinds lay different shades of eggs. I've only seen brown and white in the stores. I learned something new and interesting! .....I wish I could have chickens.
