These chairs look so interesting for around the island..but not sure comfortable and they are really to tall..prob keep bumping into the tops as we are in kitchen all through out the day..prob need something less obtrusive but still rustic look like chairs below

Here's my sun room and the area rug is only an 8 ft round..so any large chairs may be too big and not sit on the rug..but I have a couple ideas for the table and the chairs but would like your deco opinion...

I love the stone on your island! FYI-a color you can bring in easily would be wine : ) For the kitchen-I would suggest a "family" of chairs, ones that will work together. Two with arms for the table, and then 4 without arms. I would keep 3 (2 +1) by the fireplace and the other 3 at the island, because it looks like there are too many chairs there now. I like your little table. Keep looking, you will know the right ones when you see them! For a light fixture, look at the clear glass ones popular at Pottery Barn, Rejuvenation, etc right now. Keep it simple so it brings in the modern/rustic feel. For your sun room, don't worry if the chairs end up going off the rug.

My suggestion would be to forgo the dining height table in your fireside grouping and go with something coffee table height, unless you plan to eat meals here. I love a group of club chairs with a large round coffee table or ottoman with a tray
