We just installed a similar quartz counter top (second pic) and not only one I love it but I wanted to go with an original, simple and economical backsplash and chose white subway with gray grout. my cabinets are dark wood, when my kitchen is clean I will post a pic.

rainstorm. Also London grey. I love the look of the white subway tiles, maybe I should go with your backsplash, choice , very nice .

Pick the counter that you like best. The either would work with the paint. The top one has more depth.

Is the rest of your home painted cashmere gray? Generally, you would pick counters first and then choose the paint color to match them.
