My Green Dragon is really a Voodoo Lily

For over ten years I have been growing what I thought is a Green Dragon (Arisaema draconum). This year it produced a seed ball. Turns out it is really it is really Sauromatum venosum, Voodoo Lile, not to be confused with Amorphophallus bulbosa which is also called a Voodoo Lily.

Mine are just now dying back, so if yours has been gone for a while, it may not have survived. They make a good sized round pale almost white bulb, so you could check to see if it is still alive. If you would like, I can bring you another.

What kind of a "flower" or spathe did it get? Before the seeds? Voodoo lily has a spathe that is unique, you would definately have notice it, and it blooms before the stalk grows out in spring. Did it have a bad smell? Did you notice flies around it at all?

It spreads easier by bulbs that the parent plant creates than by seed, never grew mine from seed. Just wondering, you said you had it for 10 years, so it must be pretty big by now.

Then my green dragon must be a voodoo lily too! Although I haven't seen mine come up as yet, but I haven't really looked in that area of the yard.
