Does it matter if the white on the trim throughout the room doesn't match the white cabinets?

No, the trim and cabinet paint do not have to match. I dont know if I would do a white for these cabinets with this granite, I think a light gray would look very nice. You will just need to start checking paint chips with the stone.

If you look at the second picture then you can see my wall is already grey. So grey cabinets and grey walls may be too much?

Get the Sherwin Williams app and play with the colors.

It isn't neccesarily too much. It depends on your taste. You could do a gray that is darker for the cabinets. If you do white, you won't have as much contrast with the countertops.

i think the gray would be fine, a pale shade one under what you have on the walls, more of an off white.......

I have similar counters (maybe even the exact same) and we used SW Alabaster on cabinets and trim and it turned out exactly how I hoped it would:). Good luck!

Sure Laura. It's really gloomy here today but I tried to take a shot of the cabinet with the counter so you can see the combo up close. The second picture I had from something else (can't really see the counter but you can see the Alabaster color pretty well).

The Alabaster looks great. You might also look at Shoji - a soft white with greige hints.
