Bury neck in Oyama?

My grandmother got me this av 15 years ago & has at least 3 necks & several crowns. I've done a lot of reading & research & I am ready to divide & conquer it to replant it. I've decided to try the Oyama planters.

I've read about how to groom it up & plant into a moist mix & place into a plastic bag or container for a month.

Can I use the Oyama pot to repot a crown or bury a cut neck to root my AV? Should I place it into the plastic bag without water in the reservoir since there is moisture in the mix? (I read AV won't need watered during this "rooting" period)

thanks for advice!
