They are not my choice for adding light to a large public room. The circular shape on the ceilings IMO is really not very attractive. I would use them in closets and selectively in halls and baths, but not living rooms, kitchens or dining rooms.

I had two in my kitchen. They were wonderful, as I didn't have to turn lights on in the daytime.

Mine had the diffuser lens.

It looks like this one has flexible tubing. It won't look like this if you use the one with rigid tubing, which actually gives more than double the amount of light because the tubing material is so much more reflective.

Don't know what it's supposed to look like, but what I see is a very cool and interesting moonscape.

My new solar tube also gives off a blue light and have replace lens, only its' still a blue glaring light. I'm wanting a warm natural light, so if anyone has suggestion,,,

I just had one installed... hate it! Looks like a florescent ceiling light. Avoid if possible and go with a sky light if you want natural and something aesthetically pleasing!
