VERY bad. Wasn't really a good idea the first time. All that weight was not meant for your subfloors and joists to hold up. Remove both and start over.

Remove down to sub flooring and do it right..............and I would hunt down the scoundrels who even suggested it the first time and mount his head on my trophy wall..

Can't believe I wasn't doing that job always my luck to have lazy people before me good advice from others feel the weight of one box of tiles to under stand weight I've just done 100sqm
Second floor all by hand no lift in van no skips aloud in parking area and unload van by hand : (some parts three tiles thick one room had marble and changed Floor depth,balcony area was like a slide I bought a 360 laser level to bring floors back to level good tool but shows how bad some floors go down I needed to change doors and frames
In doing this all I got from people in the block was complaints of noise like I wanted to do it and said how slow I was there builders were in and out in days : ) or : ( good builders are never appreciated just pleased to been seen out of the house fast isn't always best proper is proper

beenie, whenever I get those comments from neighbors, I just reply "you can do things fast and get adequate or you can take your time to get it right and give your client quality.workmanship....very rarely do you get both. Since my name goes with it, I choose slow and right." Usually takes the wind out of their sail pretty fast.

You will have a hight variation too, no good as it will be minimal but perfect to catch your shoe and trip face down = minus front teeth :) so BAD idea, strip it down - back to basics. Good luck

: ) I plaster and people always say to the painter how nice it looks ,I get the looks of disgust like I bring dust into the house great escape fashion flicking it from secret bags within my trousers, perhaps the odd run there finger over the wall :) painter looks very clean through my workmanship with little filler work and the clients wishes I was as clean as painter . I've found the hardest thing about getting knowledge is being able to use it builders are always looked down upon very snotty process so many critics and so very few painters good to have other builders on houzz Perhaps we could get some funny stories going to help the persons digging the floor up ,a laugh why they have a coffee break I'm sure it's needed ,I sure could had done with it : ) when I was going through the same process
