How big is the foosball table? That's going to be a big factor is what else works in there.

I kinda think hangout and homework are incompatible... I would choose one purpose or the other and decorate accordingly. 10x 10 is also a pretty small space so keep it simple.

My gut reaction is this is way too much. Consider a desk height counter with two areas to sit, drawers underneath--flatscreen TV mounted above. This will keep room open for furniture. The next pieces you should put in will be what you really want most. Foosball is great but that table takes up lots of space. Will your kids still want it in three months let alone a year? Consider your options carefully.

I know what I'm trying to do is a little crazy, but I'm hoping to make it work somehow. Before we had a dining room table pushed against the corner, a china cabinet, the foosball table and a little desk in the corner. It was definitely ridiculous, but I figured with the dining table/cabinet out, maybe we could make it work. (Room is empty right now because of a leak. :-( ) Girls are 10 and 13. Homework during the week, sitting area/foosball with friends on weekends...
