Thinking of buying a fixer-upper in a nice neighborhood. its biggest issue is that it needs a new kitchen and ideally a great room addition to create an open floor plan / family room which is entirely open to the kitchen. has anyone done this? share experiences and approximate costs? Even a recommended contractor would be great. I am in the Philly suburbs. Trying to figure out if this is a path we even want to go down....
