I'm harvesting my Asian pears, and this year more than half of them are pear-shaped rather than apple-shaped. It's very odd. Perhaps caused by the hot, dry summer? Other than the weird shape, the quality of the fruit is fine. Does anyone know why they developed this way? I garden in Kitsap.
