I would highly recommend the "Block-Lok" templates if you choose to do the Drunkard's Path... makes them so much easier to work with when you can square them up!

You could do a modern look without a pattern... Stack 2-4 squares (or rectangles), cut a gentle wave across the square, shuffle the stack and stitch two pieces back together. I guess like a stack 'n slash, but with curves..

Maybe a snails trail quilt. Shakespeare in the Park is curvy too.

No suggestions from me but I know whatever you do for her will be perfect!

I just saw Rainbow Swirls Log Cabin quilt. I like the movement in it if you want swirls without circles.

Or a Storm at Sea? Or Kaleidoscope. Illusions of curves without actually piecing curves.

I've made a Shakespeare in the Park quilt - it's easier than it looks. It's just snail trail alternating with star blocks.
