Adenium obesum seed pod finally opened!

Hello everyone! As the title states, my desert rose's seed pod finally opened! The plant has over ten pods in total so this is the first to open. I placed the seeds in a ziplock baggie. I am hoping to harvest more seeds as the other seed pods release. It took almost two months for them to release. Is this normal? Here is a photo of the seeds before I collected them.
