Kitchen Floor options

Hi,

So we are currently living in our 2 family rental property while renovating it. The apartment we are renovating has wood floors in many areas, but they are in various stages of dis-repair. We are currently working on the kitchen and would like to put down click vinyl planks but I am having trouble finding a non-wood look floor that is durable, thin and water resilient/proof. We are planing to refinish and patch the repairable areas of the original wood floor so I didn't want to put down a wood look vinyl and have multiple different woods in the house. I considered cork but didn't really want to go through the process of sealing it for a kitchen. I honestly wanted something easy and straightforward to just get it done. It needs to be a durable floor due to the fact that it will go back to being a rental and we will always be pet friendly...Open to any other thoughts. I would also like to find something that could carry through to a former bedroom that the previous owners put a sliding glass door in (improperly and caused a ton of water damage to the floor, the door has been fixed but this wood floor cannot be fixed, its all just new sub floor look for now!) Sorry about the long, disjointed explanation!
