I think a green salad would be good. For dessert, I think ice box cookies are wonderful. Buy the thin chocolate wafers in the cookie aisle, make fresh whipped cream, put a tablespoon blob of whipped cream on a cookie, then put another cookie over the whipped cream, pressing it down a bit to cover the whole cookie it's on, then another blob of Whipped cream, another cookie, then a blob of cream on the top, so three or four cookies per, each with a blob of cream on top. Refrigerate them for at least 7 hours. The cookies get cake-like, and they are absolutely delicious.
