We have two large black dogs, half lab, half pointer. Great dogs.

For the past couple of weeks when I look out the corner of my eye, I see red coming from Lobo's eyes. I'd do a double take and his eye isn't bloodshot and I don't see red. The red I see is bright. And always out of the corner of my eyes. This has happened several times now. Each time I kept thinking I must be imagining it.

I never mentioned this to my dh. But today we were walking with the dogs and he said, "Sometimes I call Lobo 'fire eye's.'" I stopped dead in my tracks and he said he sees red in Lobo's eyes too, out the corner of his eye's, and they're not blood shot either.

Neither of us have seen the red looking straight to the dog's face. We've seen it outside and inside.

I know all about the superstitions regarding black dogs. Lobo is a sweetheart. Has this happened to anyone else?

We got Lobo and Wolf from the Humane Society. Do we need a Priest? lol.
