The master bedroom has the following features:
- 13X16 main room dimensions
- vaulted ceilings with exposed metal support bars (collar ties)
- three large windows on one wall
- a french door on the wall opposite the windows (note floor plan shows windows but change to a door)
- a large square window high over the bed
- a hallway linking the bedroom area to the master closet and bathroom. There is a bank of two more windows in the hallway linking bedroom to closet, bath (see pic).

The bedroom is currently painted in BM White Dove walls and trim. I am wanting to repaint, change the bedding and add some sort of curtain panels/fabric to the windows and the french door (I already have top down bottum up blinds for privacy on all windows except the french door).

For the curtains, I am not sure there is enough wall clearance to allow curtains that would fullly close. We have a nice view so I don't want to cover up any of the windows when the drapes are open. The french door is what really needs a curtain solution because the sun beams in every morning!

Here is what I was thinking:
Doing curtains lined with blackout and using grommets. I was thinking of using a Dwell Studio fabric called Bella Porte in Brindle (grayish, brownish, greenish) as the color works very well with our glass tile in the master bathroom and the pattern suits our furniture. Our master bathroom down a hallway where the windows are so the tile and curtains are in view of eachother.

For the bedding I was considering the Seersucker duvet cover from West Elm in Ivory.
I will be keeping our wood furniture which is by Brownstone, Mercer collection.
I will paint the walls and was going to pick a gray/green that is lighter than the Bella Porte Brindal curtain fabric.

Here is where I am getting uncertain and need advice:
Do you think it would look ok to have curtain panels with grommets as a cleaner look for this room? I would line them so they have weight and drape well?

There is a bank of three windows in the bedroom area and then two more windows in the hallway that connects to the bathroom. I am not sure if it would be too busy to have curtain panels on all these windows? I am wondering if I could just have panels on the three window grouping that is in our bedroom area?

The French Door is the main reason I started looking at curtains but I felt only having a fabric curtain on the door and not any windows would seem weird? I was thinking of just having a panel on one side of the door rather than two panels, panels on either side of a single wide door might look too busy?

Will it look wierd to have non functioning curtains on either end of the bank of windows? There is not enough clearance to the corner to have a curtain wide enough to cover the windows fully.
I was going to ignore the giant square window that is over our bed! I haven't come up with a modern looking valance or way to work this window into the decor.
