Need to alter drapes drastically

I've taken two sets of drapes that covered two sets of 10-foot-wide sliding glass doors with me to a new home. In this house, the sliding glass doors are much smaller in width than my old house's doors. So I have these 4 pair of draperies that are much too wide and need to have them altered, mostly in width, to fit. Any idea of who I can get to do this type of work and cost involved? The new doors are roughly half the size of the older ones.

You could go to a local store that sells fabric and see if they have a bulletin board with the cards for local people who have sewing businesses in their homes.

Most anyone who does alterations can help you, ask your dry cleaner who they use.

I had to do this with our drapery when we moved. I used a curtain fabricator specifically. It was pricey but worth it to reuse the drapes.
