Pat, I would do windows as well. Right now we have one window. I'd like at least five but will lose too many upper cabinets with no way to replace the storage lost. So I was thinking abt 3 windows and then the additional glass blocks. The pic you sent is great. Where did you find it? this enables me to visualize. Thanks!

While I can appreciate the comments about glass blocks there are some fun things you can do with a glass block backsplash some may not be aware of. I will include some images below which show using colors and glass tile blocks to move colored light under a backsplash in a kitchen or laundry room.
