Need help with my Kitchen

I updating my kitchen. I want to paint them the antique french white look. I'm putting glass in one of the cabinet doors, really need help in deciding on the colors of white and the glaze, browns or olives etc. also need advice on cheap but nice counter top replacements. anyone have any luck using 12x12 granite tiles.

You can use 12x12 tiles. You will have to lay a base of 3/4" marine plywood as a base on top of the base cabinets. Because the square tiles don't have a finished edge, you will have to use an edge such as a wood edge, polyurethaned or painted which will have to be set even with the tile.

The colors you are thinking of depend on what else it has to match to--floors, walls, adjoining rooms, furniture, etc. If you could post some well lit pictures, I'm sure someone could have a reply.
