    Hello ccalland,

Yes, the counter is a pure white color. It doesn't have any shades or pigments added to it. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

Thank you. I do have a couple of additional questions. I'm not familiar with "acrylic-resin". ( 1 ) Is it shiny or does it have a matte finish or somewhere in between? ( 2 ) How does it do with regard to staining? This is for a child's bathroom. Would a blob of blue toothpaste leave a stain or is this material impervious. ( 3 ) This is subjective, but how does the countertop material look? Does it look like cheap plastic? Does it look like it is some type of engineered stone?

    Hello ccalland,

    1) Acrylic resin is shiny and reflective, not matte. It’s the same material that most bathtubs are made from, if that helps. It is similar aesthetically to porcelain, but much lighter, easier to install, and more resistant to cracking and chipping than porcelain.

    2) With regards to staining, it IS stain-resistant, but that does not mean it is impervious to stains. Because the surface is sealed and not porous like marble or granite, it resists liquids and other staining influences much better. However, much like any material, it still needs to be cleaned regularly to maintain its aesthetic appeal. It can handle things like toothpaste spills, provided that toothpaste doesn’t sit on the counter for 4 or 5 days before it’s wiped off.

    3) As far as its looks, no we wouldn’t say the acrylic resin looks cheap or like plastic. Technically, acrylic resin is a highly advanced material that belongs to a family of plastics, but it’s the same material that most tubs are made from. It doesn’t look or feel like typical plastic. It’s not a luxurious material in the same way a marble or granite counter is, but it does have a very simple, muted elegance and it goes well with almost any bathroom setup. Also, of all the countertops we offer, it is probably the most child-friendly, so we’d highly recommend this counter if this is for a child’s bathroom.

Please let us know if you have any additional questions or concerns.

    Regards,

    Modern Bathroom
