Everything looks beautiful except the plain walls. A richer color to compliment both the browns & turquoise. Add a soft decorative finish either all over or just to accent the fireplace wall, then your house will feel more like home.

You might consider wood blinds from lowes.You can chose color ,style.

Do drapes first (cream with little choc. Brown and little turquoise). Then add wall art. Maybe mirror over fireplace keep light flowing. I use lined scarves and sconces for better view and light.

I agree with tennisanyone .The loveseat looks lost on the window.

I would definitely improve the lighting.

Place a nice fluffy white furry rug on the rug for contrast of texture . Paint the walls ivory for warmth, hang some ivory sheers and teal panels. Place some art in the alcoves.

When your large light coloured shaggy rug arrives, I think it will anchor everything in the room. Some artwork on the walls should tie it all together too. Very nice space! If you don't want to obstruct your view, you may want to go with a designer roller shade on the windows (see below).

Such a beautiful space!!! I love the deep chocolate furniture and pop of color(pillows)... I would add some curtains(hang very high) and a nice color to the walls... maybe a gray? But I love what you have so far!

The roof of the outside porch is providing shade to the room during the day.

It seems that you need only a minimal window treatment to provide privacy at night.

One thought would be sheers [to oscsure the view from outside] and that could be that could be stacked in the day time.

Another would be a stock flat roman shade in a light weight material

Either would add some interest to your room.

I would recommend going with either Silhouettes or Cellulars (depends on your budget) .I would also put up a really nice decorative rod with decorative drapery panels 24'' wide each.

I agree with the drapes (drapes should have some color ) However, hang them as high as possible to make the room look taller. Do you need the single chair? If not, think about placing it in another room. Definitely art on the walls!
