My Purple Quilt - top

It isn't a good picture....the size is approx 48"X82" and since I'm keeping it to use on my twin bed, that's fine. However, I got some of the blocks put in the wrong places from where I wanted them. But, I'm not hyperventilating over it. Lilacs lined the long driveway where I grew up so there's a bit of nostalgia going on, too. The pattern is a BOM I started in 2005 called Everything's Coming Up Roses.

Oh, I love this one! I think it's perfect. How wide is the black sashing? What do you plan to put on the back?

Love the colors . Looks very amish to me but that's just me. Are you going to hang it? It's so pretty I could really see it on the wall.

meyerk9, I plan to use it on my daybed. The one I've been using (for almost 20 years) has been loved to pieces. Definitely a utility quilt! I'm looking forward to being able to use this one.

Sharon, your quilt is stunning! I love the purple, and lilacs are one of my favorite flowers. I don't know how your block placement could be any better. It's simply a lovely quilt.

Jennifer, The sashing is 2 1/2" and I'm not sure about the backing yet. I never plan an entire quilt from beginning to end......I have good intentions, but I always change it up somehow.

When I searched for your pattern, I found it was from the same site where I got my DGS's wedding quilt. Will go back and have another look at those patterns.

I think I am ready for another sampler type quilt.

Theresa, It really is just a sampler, but with the white and dark purple, it added an extra element. The black sashing drew them all together. The blocks themselves are 15" finished.
