Your furniture also needs to be considered when deciding what color to paint a room. Can you post some pictures of your living room?

What Hayleydaniels said is so true. One needs to consider the whole room as a look, color of furniture, rug etc to make sure it comes together as you would like.

Agree with the above commenters - it's not just about the floor unless you have no other furniture yet. But, that said, the floor looks like it has a very strong yellow undertone - so make sure that any color you choose for an accent wall works well with the yellow in the floor. That said, does the tan work? You might consider painting the entire space a consistent color that works best with the floor and your furnishings.

Get your furniture and then worry about choosing a paint color. You'll be very glad you did as it will save you having to repaint when the furniture and wall color don't work together. Believe me, I've repainted parts of my house 4 times!!
