I have plenty of clients who are moving the cork out of the basements and into bedrooms. They are using cork as a "carpet alternative" because of its acoustic and thermal qualities. Most people come back with statements like "It's so quiet. It's better than the carpet ever was".

I also have clients who are using cork flooring as a form of "cheap insulation" to increase the energy efficiency in houses where some rooms are cooler/hotter than others. By adding a floor, they are actually increasing their energy efficiency...which many people are seeing as a 3-in1 product.
