what was your source ... should we believe the label???

i dont recall such either ...leaning towards P strobus pendula ...

most likely .. it will grow as tall as you train it.. and then weep back down ... completely on the ground.. if you dont encourage it up ...

Here is the picture. It comes from Lime Cross Nursery (in the UK) which has been a reliable source in the past.

They also had P strobus pendula which looked different to me.

The plant tag is labeled as Pinus sylvestris 'Prostrata', NOT 'Pendula' :-) I would assume that to be a shortening of the cultivar name of 'Albyn Prostrata'.

Yes, that is my fault. Can I put that down to a senior moment?

Albyn Prostrata may be a bit too vigorous for my liking!

Im not sure whether you can read what it says on the label - 'slow growing ground cover pine, glaucous needles, all free draining soil inc chalk. 1-2m spread in 10 years'. That doesn't sound vigorous like the Albyn Prostrata.

i have the name down as P syl Albyns ...

heres a few old pix

2008 .. not the growth rate ... if you can speculate a scale... call it 6 to 8 inches ...

2008

That looks very different to mine (I appreciate they are different maturities)

Also you haven't seen it in new growth
