You've got a lot of blinds and they are lovely as they are. Consider lighter area rugs and some white decorative accents.

Hunter Douglas makes cellular shades called Silhouette. These or something like them would lighten up your villa.

You don't have to remove them all. For the living area with the couches I'd go with light wispy curtains all around to lighten and brighten.

Something like this all they way around so you can open different groups of the curtains.... not full width curtains all the way across. White or off white would look very pretty.
