Thank you for the quick response! Is that reclaimed barn wood siding? Also how did you all make the worn paint look with the red accents? Thanks in advance for any insights you can provide! I am interested in building a garage to supplement my farmhouse in Wake Forest NC and very much like the style of this garage as it's flavor not to match the house (photo attached)

Most of the wood is reclaimed... took it from an old tobacco barn in your neck of the woods! The paint was already on it (lead), so we just knocked off the loose stuff per the EPA's lead paint rules, and then encapsulated it and sealed the bare wood with a flat poly.

Thanks again for the response! I will reach out when we are ready to put a plan together. I learned my lesson building my house by shooting from the hip at the benefit of the GC. Next go around I will spec out everything. I have experience working with reclaimed materials as we have many in our home ie bead board we ran thru a planar to knock off the top layers of lead paint to expose the different colors, etc.. Here is a look per the builders page & the custom lighting manufacturer I worked with per the below links. Most of the ideas seen here were mine and more than half I managed the execution of and fought the GC along the way. This was likely because I choose a spec builder vs custom. I got totally hosed on the roof it was not installed per spec or correct product per my question about metal roofing.
