Help! Does Backsplash Match?

White cabinets, stainless appliances, stainless cabinet pulls. The granite is pretty busy (delicatus brown) so I want a simple backsplash. Do you think this works? I stacked them up, pictures taken different angles to show different light!

Thanks in advance for any opinions/suggestions!

Yes it does but I prefer the contrast to the white wall....

Not sure. Think the lighter colour in your granite and the tile doesn't match tone wise. Also a plainer tile may be better so the granite can be the star of the show. I think when all the tiles are up and grouted, it may look a bit busy.

I like the tile on its own but would go with one that doesn't have any pattern.

I agree it may be a bit busy. But I also wanted to say we have such similar kitchens- down to the pulls!! This is what it would look like with white backsplash. My granite is Alaska White.

I think it matches, but make sure you strand back and look from far away. Sometimes the overall color looks bad even though the actual colors might be a perfect match up close.

I like the overall tile color with the granite, but agree that a tile without a pattern would go better with the busy granite. I don't like the tile color with the color painted to the right.

I like it in isolation, but I don't think it looks right in combo with the white cabinets.

I like it, too. Can you order extra tiles, use the plainer ones, and return the ones with more pattern?

I like them both, but not together. Since you already have your beautiful cabinets and counter installed, and there are lots of choices with backsplash tile, I'd keep looking. I echo others that a plain tile in the right color will really make your counter the star.

It looks like it matches, but agree that simpler ones would be better. I'd also go higher contrast - this seems a little drab (although hard to say without a picture further back).

Ditto from one who tried a pattern but my GW friends helped me see the light.

I have the same nearly the same combo. I love it! Not grouted yet.

    Thanks everyone!

I would match with the lightest color in the counter top.

Update: I took everyone's advice and we returned the tile. We have narrowed it down to two "solid" colors. Both are 3x6 subway tile. One is a ceramic, cream color. The other is a grayish/brown glass tile. I like both but I'm leaving toward cream. (Boring I know. But definitely matches.) Extra photo of flat glass tile because it's hard to photo the color with light reflection. All opinions welcome! Thanks!

Cream. Start another thread if you think you might want accent tiles or a border.

    I also like the cream.

    I vote cream.

    Another vote for cream!

    Cream.

    The cream looks great!

    I like the cream.

Badgergal... My husband agreed with you and it was the single kitchen decision he felt strongly on, so he won. I'm so glad we went with the darker color. Still in progress (and hard to photograph) but looks great!

I'm changing my votevto the brown. It looks spectacular!

I would have said the darker ones. Really classy. Will also hide a multitude of sins splash wise!

I was going to vote for the darker one too; the cream didn't quite work with the cab color. this is sooo much better and more interesting without being fussy. great choice husband!!!
