My friend has the first one (Pottery Barn I assume) and it looks really nice. She has something similar to your sconces, but as pendants.
As for microwave, I don't know..both brands are good..maybe someone is familiar with them

These chandeliers are more of what I would expect at the shore.

Beverly, not in NJ:) There are beautiful houses, large and very tall to be able to see the ocean..nothing to do with the coastal style:)

Might be fun to go with a traditional chrystal chandelier, which will bring a bit of whimsy to the room. I like both of your choices though but think the first one is seen less often and has more impact.
