Hello everybody!

I was just wondering if I started to grow chives or lemongrass in a plastic 4 in (diameter), 4 inch deep container and began cutting back when the plants grew to about 6 inches for harvesting, will the plant eventually get root bound or will the pruning or the leaves make the plant focus all of its energy on regrowing the leaves?
