My dining room is 13' x 16'. It's very open on 2 sides with a column in the corner of the 2 open areas. I have an 8' x 11' rug. We ordered the Salvaged Wood Trestle rectangular table from Restoration Hardware last night that is 42" wide and 108" long. We also ordered 8 side chairs - 6 Vintage French Round Cane Back side chairs and 2 arm chairs. I'm concerned that the table may be too big with all of the chairs for the room and the rug. I also want to add a buffet in the future. It's not too late to order a size down which would be the 96" table. Please help! Should we have purchased a larger sized rug for this room and size of table?
