Ron, I don't understand, 'too dry to weed'. I particularly go after the weeds in the late summer and Fall. No need for them to go to seed.

It's been wet up here in the foothills. My ponds are beginning to recover. This was the first year they all went dry. I managed to save a couple hundred goldfish from the largest pond by putting them in a kiddie pool in the shade of some bamboo. The garter-snakes that had been hunting them in the pond found them to be easy pickens in the wading pool. There's some really large, fat snakes hibernating here now.
