HI -- There are so many new colors this year , there should be lots that you would like . There are a few what I call everything colors . Benjamin Moore Paints . " Revere Pewter " " Florintine Plaster " and also " Classic Grey " BM paints has color cards you can buy to place around to see what the color looks like in the space . No need of buying paint samples and painting little sections on the wall . I myself are going back to a white or antique white in my basement , just for a fresh start over. Can't really go wrong with picking a neutral wall color.

We just gutted our basement and used smoke embers by Benjamin Moore. We have received so many compliments on the color. It's still a "neutral" without being beige. Good luck with your reno!
