The image over the couch is an original etching not a photograph. It's a triptych (3 etching plates) and is called Catalpa. I'm the printmaker who created the artwork and it's one of my favorites.
I based the image on a kinky tree growing here on our rural acrage northeast of Toronto. We had horses for years and the tree was chewed on when a sapling. It was derived from an early morning mist when everything has an etherial and peaceful contemplative quality.
