Pull down closet rods in laundry room and master closet.

We had our home remodeled last summer and had a pull down rod put in the master closet and laundry room.

LOVE the feature but unfortunately both have failed. Need something strong enough for daily use. Was considering changing the design if necessary saw this

for a laundry room may be stronger than the pull down I have but don't know how much it would hold? I air dry a lot of clothes.

Saw this on Houzz looks like a double rod but don't know where to acquire it?

Would like to know how the originals could be fortified if possible?

OR if not what brand could replace them that would be sturdier for daily use?

You may check with a company called Haefele. They are a German company that makes high quality hardware. I believe that they make a product like this. They tend to be pricy, but as you know, sometime the cheap just doesn't last........

Contact whomever supplied you the pull down rods. Their vendor should be able to get them replaced. The photo with the "double pull down rods", is actually an automated pull down single rod.

UPDATE: I contacted my designer/contractor and he replaced both my rods with a more sturdy unit and it is working well. This was the first time we used a designer and we were delighted with his work and is follow up a year after the project completion exceeded our expectations.

The automated pull down single rod sounds interesting I will keep that in mind for future projects. Thank you all for the suggestions.

Try StorageMotion- they have an motorized version which may be more durable and sturdy. Weight limits would need to adhered to on any version.

mhmb, Very good point with weight limits. I was surprised how much clothes weigh and how low some of the limits were.
