Hello! We are in the process of remodeling this 60 year old home in KC. Siding and windows were just updated, new entry door is coming next week (mahogany farmhouse door), concrete sidewalk being ripped out and replaced with pavers.

Our dilemma is the white load-bearing beams. We have 4. Three are attached to the concrete slab (not in our budget to replace) and one that is barely hanging onto to a blob of concrete (see photo).

Any ideas on how we can replace these poles. We are wanting cedar or a type with dark knots to tie into the new dark wood door. We just don't know what to do about the far left pole?? How do we make it both structurally sound and aesthetically pleasing to the rest of the home?
