Dryer vent advice please

Is it ok to run the clothes dryer vent behind the washing machine? We are putting in a new laundry room and planned to have the dryer next to the exterior wall, but the plumber put the pipes for the washing machine there. I'm not sure if he forgot or if that was the easiest way to run the pipes. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks!

You can purchase longer length washer supply and drain hoses which will be long enough to put the machines where you want them. If they are not available locally they can be found online, I purchased some online last year for a similar situation in our home.
