Placing a sofa right when you walk in the door visually reduces the area of the room. I recommend you take your existing furnishings and arrangement in this layout posted below.

I kinda like it but I'm finding it rigid and matchy-match. The chairs match each other, the pillows do too, the sofas are the same.

I'd want something a bit more relaxed. Perhaps place a throw over one of the chairs in place of the pillow and move the pillow to one of the sofas.

I like the coffee table in the second pic better.

I assume the first one is the before and the second one the after? The issues are the same for both of them. The zebra picture is too wide for the sofa under it so switch and put the larger sofa there with the smaller sofa in an "L" with it to face the windows. Move the chairs to the entry side since and see if you like it better. I prefer the window be available to see the view. Your marble top tables are too tall for your seating. They should land within 1" of the arm of the seating.Once topped with a lamp, the two pieces together should measure 58-64" from the floor. Coffee tables need to be placed no more than 18" from seating in order to be useful. I prefer your glass table to help open up the space and keep it from being too heavy. I would use it closer to the large sofa. Add other tables with the small sofa and between the chairs. Did you consider a leopard print area rug?

Haven't we seen some of your clever "Before & After" rooms before? I think the Zebra picture was the item that triggered the memory. Didn't you make some end tables out of stools and glass tops? Are these rooms all your house or do you do this professionally? If not, you should. Very, very, very clever.

classysass, Yes It's me And yes these rooms are all in my house. Thank you for stopping into to write a comment. I was considering taking a couple of classes in interior decorating, and becoming certified. Most of the furnishings in my house were used items, that i recreated along with a few new pieces. For instance the picture of the red room, I brought and old coffee table that was $25 dollars stained it and added some stones that i brought from the dollar tree. I will be adding epoxy resin for a finish look for that table. Thank you for the compliment.
