I am currently painting my living room a very deep green. I would like to paint the oak trim white. However, I don't want to paint the trim in the dining room that leads into the living room white because we have built-ins and molding that I wouldn't want to paint white. I'd rather refinish those in a different stain color. Is it a no-no to have different trim finishes in two rooms adjacent to each other? Thanks!
