My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

Love the wooden finish

I love the flooring, it is a nice contrast to the diagonal jarrah; is is battened or direct stick or something else?

    It is plank on ply. Timber is Marri - native to Western Australia. This particular batch was feature grain. We laid this over an existing tile floor.

    Very nice. Would that suggest it was pre finished? I can just barely see the lines between planks.
    Am I correct in seeing a step down into the kitchen (i.e. the height of the additional floor wasn't an issue).

    Yes there is a step down from the Jarrah area into the kitchen. The height wasn't an issue as we took that into account when working out the cabinets, etc. No it was not pre-finished timber - all natural and sanded/sealed/polished on-site.

    Thanks for the update. Very interested in putting jarrah (or perhaps Marri or Blackbutt) into my home on the existing concrete slab, great to know how plank on play looks.
