After trying seven different paint samples on my open kitchen/family room walls, I've finally narrowed it down to Balboa Mist or Shoreline. Any experience with either of these two colors? My main issue is that my ceilings, trim, and pocket doors are white. Built-ins and cabinetry are more cream colored. The original goal was to lighten the room but most of the colors I chose were too cool for the cream cupboards.
Is Balboa too beige? Is Shoreline too cool? Help!
Details: Couch is grey, dark hardwoods, light blue accents and grey/white/beige granite slabs in the kitchen.

Again, my goal is to lighten the room and get rid of the current sage/greige paint.

Any experience is appreciated!! Thanks

PS- I've tried Abalone, quicksilver, site white, classic grey, and reflection. None of those work.
